Before you go into it, let me ask you a question: have you ever asked yourself what is assessment?

We are sure that, as a teacher, you have assessed your students many, many times. But have you ever stopped and taken the time to think: why am I doing it this way? Is my assessment helping my students learn?

As the saying goes, it is not very prudent to begin building a house from the roof. Therefore, in this lesson we will start with the basics. We will tackle the main principles of assessment and, more specifically, of that assessment that is truly for learning.
