Lesson 2. Giving effective feedback mediated through technology

How was the first lesson? We hope you enjoyed it, and that it helped you set the grounds for assessment for learning.

In this second lesson, we will take on the topic of feedback. If we intend to use assessment for learning, we must give students feedback to let them know what they did right, what they need to improve and, most importantly, to guide them with the steps they should take to improve. To sum up, we must give them feedback, but not any feedback. We must give them effective feedback.

By the end of this lesson, you will know what makes feedback effective, how to elaborate effective feedback, how to deliver this effective feedback in online learning environments, and how to integrate this feedback with your teaching to support your students' learning.
